This class was a great experience by allowing teams of students to analyze a problem (Search and Rescue Mission), and design, test, and build a robot to compete against each other. My team was seeded first going into the competition and made it to the final match but lost due to a broken electrical connection in a faulty banana plug.

Georgia Tech Battlebots Team

Started on the team my first year at Georgia Tech and was elected to a design leader position for all 3lb robots for the fall of my second year. The first robot I built was a "flipper" robot and designed to use a CAM system to propel an elastic-powered flipping wedge. Unfortunately, due to a gearbox issue, the bot never competed at the yearly Morotama Robot Conflict Competition in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

From 8th grade to senior year, I was a key member of my school's FIRST robotics team. For my first two years, I was a design leader for a specific subsystem for each respective robot. I then moved on to become the mechanical leader, lead robot designer, and then team captain.

During my time, I also taught classes to younger team members over the summer in CAD (Solidworks), Electronics (NI Creo platform), and strategic design. In college, I have continued to mentor my former team and regularly attend events and competitions to ensure everyone is inspired by engineering.

2014 Competition
In the Fall of 2016, I joined the GT Motorsports which designs, builds, and competes with a custom build car every year. We make over 90% of the parts in our off-campus machine shop and do all of the engine tunings, composites work, and FEA on the car every year. My first year on the team, I worked on the Controls sub-team and I was elected to be Team Lead for my senior year at Tech.
